SHIPPING AND RETURNS

Can I return or exchange products?

Due to the consumable nature of our products we don't accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If there is a problem with your products or if you're unsatisfied please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. 

P.S. If you're not sure if our deodorant will work for you, you can order the smaller size to try before buying. We're currently working on having travel sizes of all products available! 

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping costs are dependant on the size of your order. Small items cost $2 to post (small deodorant and lip balms), some other items cost $7 and some are $10. The maximum you'll pay is $10 and we'll cover the rest if it costs us more! 

Why can't you post to PO Boxes?

We use Sendle (Australia's first carbon neutral delivery service) to post the majority of our orders. Sendle uses courier services Couriers Please and Fastway and therefore cannot deliver to Australia Post post offices. 

How long will it take to receive my order?

Due to the handmade nature of many of our products, it can sometimes take a few days before your item is shipped. After your items are picked up by our courier, you will receive tracking information via the email address you entered at checkout. If you don't receive this email and are wondering where your package is, please feel free to contact us and we can check on it for you. 

Can you ship my order without any plastic?

Yes! We ship all of our retail orders without any plastic. We use biodegradable corn peanuts or shredded recycled paper (we call them all 'noodles'!), kraft paper tape, and recycled / recyclable satchels and boxes. If you're lucky you might even get a re-used box for your order!

Why are your products packaged in glass and aluminium? 

We've made a conscious decision to reduce the amount of plastic that we use as much as possible. At Good & Clean we really, really care about our environment, and plastic is a big problem for our ocean-dwelling friends. You'll also find that when your order is shipped to your there's no bubble wrap or plastic tape! 

Are your products cruelty-free?

YES! All of our products are cruelty-free. They never have been and never will be tested on animals. We are certified cruelty-free and vegan by PETA via their Beauty Without Bunnies program.

Are your products suitable for vegans?

Also, YES! All of our products are 100% free of animal derived ingredients, and it's going to stay that way! We are certified cruelty-free and vegan by PETA via their Beauty Without Bunnies program.

Are your products totally natural?

Yes! All of our products are 100% natural.

Are your products Australian-made?

Yes! All of our products are made in Australia. Some of them are handmade on the Gold Coast by us, some are made in Byron Bay and a lovely lady in Brisbane makes our soaps! We are certified Australian Made by the Australian Made campaign.

What if I have an allergy?

We have the full ingredients listed on the 'ingredients' tab on each product page. If you have an allergy please consult these lists before purchase. Please note that our deodorants, scrubs, lip balms are manufactured on the same equipment. Please perform a skin test before using our products if you have any sensitivities.

Are your products safe for someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before using any products containing essential oils.

My deodorant / lip balm has changed texture - is it still ok?

Absolutely! This happens with all natural balms and butters due to temperature fluctuations and doesn't affect the effectiveness of the products. Since we don’t use anything artificial to stabilise these products, they can become softer in very warm or humid weather and become harder in cold weather. Sometimes if they are subject to temperature fluctuations they might seem grainy.

If this happens the products will still work the same as before, but you can restore them to their original texture by putting the lid on tightly (so no water seeps in), popping them in a bowl of just boiled water and then taking it out and giving it a stir.

At the moment we're working on a new formula that will hopefully stop this from happening. Keep an eye out! :) 

DONATIONS / IMPACT

How are your donations made?

Every 6 months we go through our books, add up all our sales and distribute the donations according to the charities you've chosen! We donate 10% of the sale price after GST, for both retail and wholesale orders.

Which charities do you donate to?

We donate to WWF for Marine Turtles, Rainforest Rescue for the Daintree Rainforest and the Australian Marine Conservation Society for the Great Barrier Reef. Please visit our impact to find out more the charities we donate to for each project. 

What happens if I forget to choose where my donation goes?

If you don't choose, we'll split your donation between the three charity projects. Lots of our wholesale customers choose to have their donations split across all three causes. :)

Why do you donate 10% of sales instead of a % of profits?

If you're interested in social enterprise you might notice that a lot of brands choose to donate 50% or 100% of profits, however we choose to donate 10% of sales instead for 2 reasons:

1. Most companies don't make a profit for a number of years, and we wanted to start making donations from the beginning!
2. It's more transparent! If you buy from our website you can easily calculate your donation by taking the total of your order (minus GST. and shipping) and dividing by 10.
